Abstract
A phase-separated acidic ionic liquid affords to catalyze a reaction of pyrrole with benzaldehyde in dichloromethane, forming porphyrins in a comparable yield to the Lindsey method and is reusable at least ten times without loss of catalytic activity.Keywords
