Abstract
A man who had neurofibromatosis developed malignant melanoma and basal cell carcinoma. A review of the hospital records of 69 cases of solitary neurofibroma and 44 additional cases of neurofibromatosis revealed eight other patients who developed second neoplasms, including four with cutaneous sarcomas, three with squamous cell carcinoma, and one with adenocarcinoma of the pancreas. Although the incidence of sarcomatous degeneration is similar to that reported in the literature, the possibly increased incidence of other cutaneous neoplasms has not been previously observed. Keywords
