Abstract
Adult Blattella germanica (L.) are more mobile within urban apartment structures than was previously recognized. Interapartment movement up to 30% per week occurred where construction design permitted. Adult males are more mobile than females. Pyrethrin insecticide applications Increased interapartment movement rates. These results stress the need for a more holistic, community-wide perspective for cockroach pest management programs than currently exists in pest control practices and demonstrate that construction should be designed (or altered whenever possible) to reduce cockroach movement. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
