Abstract
Shoulder disability is a common and often perplexing clinical problem made more difficult by uncertainty in diagnosis and management. An accurate, nonoperative method of diagnosis is desirable, not only for the individual patient but also as an investigative procedure in evaluating various methods of treatment. Shoulder arthrography is a useful aid in the diagnosis of rupture of the rotator cuff, adhesive capsulitis and in the preoperative evaluation of recurrent shoulder dislocation. Its accuracy in bicipital lesions has not yet been established. The technique is reviewed and normal and abnormal arthrograms are described. Keywords
