Abstract
We have developed a criterion for estimating the validity of the qasilocal approximation to the nonlocal-model-potential form factor. The weighting effect of the structure factor in momentum space is simulated by a cutoff procedure. For our numerical calculation, we have considered the Animalu-Heine parameters for the Abarenkov-Heine model potential, for a number of elements. However, our findings for the elements considered agree reasonably well with the behavior reported earlier by others, in various theoretical and experimental investigations. Keywords
