Abstract
Does “bad” news drive out “good"? Although the Vice‐President of the U.S. maintains that it does, the following study finds that the networks do emphasize “bad” news, but not to the exclusion of other news. When this study was conducted, Dennis Lowry was an instructor and a doctoral candidate in mass communication at the University of Iowa under the supervision of Prof. Leslie G. Moeller. Keywords
