Abstract
Background. There is evidence from experimental models that the praziquantel-induced clearance of schistosomiasis is dependent on the host's immune response. Consequently, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)—related immunodeficiency may impair the effect of praziquantel treatment.Keywords
