To the Editor: I read with great interest the paper by Sotos et al., entitled "Cerebral Gigantism in Childhood," which appeared in the July 16 issue of the Journal. For the past year I have been plagued with the problem of diagnosing and planning the management of a young female patient (USAF Hospital — 037414) initially evaluated by the late Dr. Lawson Wilkins and then diagnosed as having idiopathic constitutional gigantism. Her past history revealed the presence of a large bony configuration since birth averaging 4 to 6 standard deviations above the mean in height and weight and quite pronounced . . .
