Abstract
An efficient methodology for the synthesis of the aromatic sesquiterpenes (±)-herbertene, (±)-α-herbertenol, (±)-β-herbertenol (±)-herbertenediol and (±)-α-cuparenone, employing a combination of Claisen rearrangement and ring closing metathesis reactions, is described.Keywords
