Abstract
A study from the Derby School indicating the influence of clinical placements on the Students' choice of application for a first appointment. The trend has changed in the last few years but the type of work opportunities, the chance to gain good experience are the most important factors. It is those departments which provide these things which attract the most, and probably the best newly qualified occupational therapists. The contrary is equally true. Keywords
