Abstract
Single-phase samples of the new superconductor (Pb, Cu)(Sr, Ba)2(Y, Ca)Cu2O z (1212 phase) were prepared at 920°C in air, and the solubility limits of Pb, Ba and Ca in the 1212 phase were studied. For three single-phase samples and one almost-single-phase sample, the T c's were determined by the ac susceptibility. It is found that the T c depends on the oxygen and Ca contents of the 1212 phase. Keywords
