Abstract
Combined hemodynamic, functional, and angiographic studies were performed in 44 patients with cirrhosis of the liver. A statistically significant correlation (p = 0.02) was found between liver function as measured by galactose elimination capacity (GEC) and arterial perfusion of the liver. These data suggest a relationship between the amount of functioning liver parenchyma and the degree of arterial vascular supply. Keywords
