Integrated Control of Potato Cyst Nematode

Abstract
The potato is one of the world's most important crops, as a source of both food and starch, and control of the various diseases to which it is susceptible is correspondingly important. Of these, infection with potato cyst nematode (eelworm) is one of the most serious and, because of its long persistence in the soil, one of the most difficult to combat. This article describes modern techniques of integrated control, resorting to long crop rotations, development of resistant varieties, and use of a range of nematicides.
