Abstract
As a consequence of enthalpy fluctuations in a small thermodynamic system, the conformation in molten and glassy polymers is predicted to be more nearly an irregularly folded molecule with 5 to 10 nearest neighbors than a random coil with 50 to 100 nearest neighbors.Keywords
