Abstract
A rare case of pheochromocytoma with wide fluctuation of blood pressure at regular 7-min intervals is described. Direct blood pressure monitoring revealed periodic changes between 120/80 mmHg and 220/130 mmHg. The plasma norepinephrine concentration increased selectively in parallel with the elevation of the blood pressure. The tumor was found adjacent to the left kidney, and all abnormal data improved after its resection. Keywords
