Radiative effects in diffractive pion scattering

The radiative tail from the elastic peak, arising from bremsstrahlung in $\pi p$ scattering, is calculated and shown to have an influence, which can be significant, on the neighboring inelastic spectrum, both in the resonance and diffractive-peak regions.
