Abstract
The preparations are described of some complexes of iron(II) with di-2-pyridylamine (L) of the types FeL3X2(X = ClO4 or I), FeL2X2(X = CN, Cl, Br, or NCS), and FeLX2(X = Cl, Br, or I). All are high-spin except for FeL2(CN)2, which is diamagnetic and probably has the cis configuration. The compounds FeLX2 appear to have distorted tetrahedral structures. Electronic, infrared (down to 200 cm.–1), and Mössbauer spectra are reported and discussed.Keywords
