Abstract
Those whose experience includes the care of athletic injuries are aware of the difficulty of explaining all mechanisms involved in shoulder injuries. The complexity of the shoulder girdle, the inaccurate description of the injury by the player, coach, and physicians, and the admitted variety of ways in which injuries may occur make it difficult to establish these mechanisms unequivocally. Only by astute clinical observation and maintenance of accurate clinical records will new and significant data pertinent to this subject be accumulated. Keywords
