Some of those occurring seasonally on Amchitka migrate to the Alaskan mainland, Siberia, the Great Plains of Canada and the United States, Japan, the Hawaiian Islands, Australia, New Zealand, or Antarctic waters. Sixty-eight species are breeders common to Asia and North America, 13 are North American, 15 are Asiatic and European, and 4 are from South Pacific Islands.
