The Gas Chromatographic Determination of Alprenolol in Human Postmortem Liver and Blood Samples

Abstract
Alprenolol was isolated from human blood and liver sample for two overdose cases. In one of these cases, a comparison was made between hydrochloric acid and tungstic acid digestion procedures for the extraction of the drug from the liver. The hydrochloric acid procedures gave superior yield. The drug was isolated from blood with Amberlite XAD-2 resin in excellent yields.
