Conversion of Hodgkin’s Disease to Lymphoblastic Lymphosarcoma

Abstract
A patient with mixed cell Hodgkin’s disease, who 13 years later presented with lymphoblastic lymphosarcoma is described. Whether this association represents a transformation of one form of lymphoreticular neoplasm to another or a new neoplastic process cannot be determined. The newer therapeutic modalities for lymphoma produce prolonged survival. It is, therefore, imperative that patients in remission, who exhibit a recurrence of adenopathy, be re-biopsied, since the optimum treatment differs for each of the lymphomas.
