Abstract
Careful ultrasonographic evaluations of patients with PTL or PROM can provide critical information about estimated gestational age and birthweight. In addition, examination of FBM and perhaps objective ultrasonographic measurements of the lower uterine segment and cervix may provide valuable information to help us distinguish true preterm labor from false labor. Further research in these areas is necessary before these new approaches are widely adopted. Keywords
