Abstract
The authors have demonstrated, for the first time, a monolithic W-band seven-stage low noise amplifier (LNA)/detector as a complete direct-detection receiver for application in millimetre-wave radiometric imaging array systems. The LNA has achieved a noise figure of 3.8 dB with an associated gain of 34 dB over the band from 92 to 96 GHz. A field radiometric image taken by the device in stepping push-broom mode shows excellent results. Keywords
