CCD photometry of Galactic clusters containing Cepheid variables - I. Lynga 6

A colour–magnitude diagram extending to V=20 ($$M_V\simeq 4.5$$) is given for the cluster Lyngå 6. The true distance modulus is found to be 11.15±0.3, assuming $$E(B-V)=1.34$$. The 10.8-day Cepheid TW Nor, situated near the cluster centre, has $$\langle M_V\rangle=-3.8\pm 0.3$$ and appears to be a cluster member.
