Abstract
Two rhesus monkeys, following bilateral removal of the prefrontal areas, were tested on a problem in which individual stimuli came to elicit varying and antagonistic responses depending upon the nature of additional signs. Although the performances of these animals were inferior to those of 4 unoperated rhesus monkeys, the authors stress the high order of achievement that the operated animals were still capable of attaining. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
