Abstract
Siderocytes were studied in air dried blood smears fixed in methyl alcohol and stained with acidified K ferrocyanide. Anemias of various types in patients as well as induced anemias in exptl. animals were investigated. These cells are considered as not simply old erythrocytes, but they represent a disorder of hemoglobin metabolism. The literature is briefly reviewed. Keywords
