Abstract
Two organic liquid biphase systems containg poly(ethylene oxide), heptane and either CH2Cl2 or methanol have been tested in the catalytic hydrogenation of hex-1-ene using, respectively, Wilkinsons catalyst and a cationic rhodium complex, both leading to high yields and selectivity, with the latter showing a better performance and enabling easy and efficient product separation and catalyst recycling. Keywords
