Abstract
THERE has been new interest in the therapy of urinary-tract infections, and new treatment programs have evolved.1 , 2 Men with recurrent urinary-tract infections present a formidable therapeutic challenge.3 , 4 Presumably short courses of antibiotic therapy fail to eradicate foci of infection that are frequently associated with structural abnormalities within the prostatic and renal parenchyma.
