Abstract
Pseudofolliculitis is often seen in black men who shave regularly, but the literature makes no mention of occurrences in women or in anatomical areas other than the face and neck (pseudofolliculitis barbae). I am reporting a case featuring both of these latter unusual aspects and proposing that genetic factors are important in creating a pseudofolliculitis diathesis. Keywords
