Optical spectra and Zeeman analysis of the3d7state of cobalt in GaP

Abstract
Infrared-absorption and -emission spectra arising from crystal-field transitions within the singly ionized acceptor state Co2+3d7 in nGaP were investigated. The Zeeman splitting of the prominent zero-phonon line at 4506 cm1 was analyzed and confirmed the assignment to the T24(F)A24 transition.
