Abstract
The main products of the reaction of cyanogen bromide with sodium benzoate at 250 ° to 300 °C. are carbon dioxide, benzonitrile, and sodium bromide. Tracer studies have shown that the carbon of the carbon dioxide is derived almost entirely from the cyanogen bromide. Keywords
