Some new and redefined genera and families of agglutinated foraminifera; II

Abstract
Redefined and new foraminiferal taxa described are referable to the superfamilies Lotusiacea, Spiroplectamminacea, Trochamminacea, Verreuilinacea, Pavonitinacea, Ataxophragmiaceae, Orbitidinacea and Textulariacea. The following 9 genera are new: LAENTOVERNEUILINIA, type species Clavulina indiscreta Brady, family Verneuilinidae, subfamily Verneuilininae; INSCULPTARENULA, type species Trochammina texana Cushman and Waters, family Trochamminidae; DICTTYOPSELLOIDES, type species Dictyopsella cuvillieri Gendrot, family Dictyopsellidae; PROLIXOPLECTA, type species Dorothia exilis Cushman, PROLIXOPECTIDAE fam. nov.; DROBNEINA, type species Coskinolinoides januicensis Cole, subfamily Dictyoconinae, family Orbitilinidae; BANNERELLA, type species Textularia gibbosa d''Orbigny, subfamily Dorothiinae, family Eggerellidae; SAHULIA, type species S. patelliformis, sp. nov., subfamily Textulariinae, and SIPHOSCUTULA, type species S. kroyi sp. nov., SIPHOTEXTULARIINAE subfam. nov., both of the family Textulariidae; GYROVALVULINA, type species Valvulina columnatortilis d''Orbigny, family Valvutinidae. Pavonitina (synonym Phyllopsammia) and the type species, Pavonitina styriaca, are redescribed; 2 Oligocene species, P. tirolensis sp. nov. and P. plana also are described. Tawitawia is canaliculate and the Tawitawiinae are returned to the Textulariidae; the Pavonitinacea and Pavonitinidae are reinstated for the solid-walled species with vertical septula. Spirotextularia (synonyms Neoseptigerina and Fissotextularia) is redefined; Paratrochammina nd Portatrochammina are recognized as distinct, the subfamily Trochamminellinae is emended, Atlantiella reinstated as a distinct genus Ammoglobigerinoides suppressed as a synonym of Pseudotrochammina; Septotrochammina is a senior synonym of Remaneicella. Also redescribed are Gaudryinopsis (synonyms Trochogaudryina and Kadriayina), Globotextularia, Karreriella (a lectotype is designated for its type species, Gaudryina siphonella Reuss), Conorbinella (transferred to the Dictyopsellidae) and Dictyopsella (with 2 new species, the Cenomanian D. charentensis sp. nov., and the Maastrichtian D. hofkeri sp. nov., compared with the Santonian D. kiliani Munier-Chalmas and D. muretae Hottinger). Septotextularia, Dorothia, Pseudogaudryina, Siphoniferoides, Eggerella, Karreriella, Tawitawia and Glaucoammina have canaliculate walls; the Eggerellidae, Dorothiinae, Glaucoamminidae (elevated from subfamily), SEPTOTEXTULARIINAE subfam. nov. and the subfam. Tawitawiinae of the Textulariidae, PSEUDOGAUDRYINIDAE fam. nov. and PSEUDOGAUDRYININAE subfam. nov. and SIPHONIFEROIDINAE subfam. nov. are all placed in the canliculate Textulariacea. The type species of Septotextularia is correctly known as S. rugosa T.C. Cheng and S.Y. Zheng, 1978. Textularia is discussed on the basis of the type species; Textilina, Vulvulinella, Textella, Norvanganina and Textilinita are placed in synonymy of Textularia. The recently proposed lectotype for Textularia is rejected as ambiguous, as the specimen cited was not from the type locality, and 2 distinct localities were erroneously cited for that specimen. A new lectotype is designated that is closest to the original figure of the species, and is from the type locality.
