Abstract
The behaviour of Heard Island Shags Phalacrocorax nivalis was observed in the 1992–93 breeding season. Many of the typical signal patterns of the Pelecaniformes were observed. Despite the isolation of Heard Island Shags from their nearest relatives in the P. atriceps grouping the behaviour patterns were virtually identical. Keywords
