Abstract
The stability of steel radial gates used in reservoirs, hydroelectric power stations, etc. is studied by modeling them as rectangular, trapezoidal or triangular frames. The elastic resistance of the rubber seals for preventing leakage is incorporated in the formulation. Results are expressed in terms of the effective length factors of the compression members in the gates. Keywords
