Abstract
In the present work it is shown that large unilamellar lecithin/cholesterol liposomes are able to sequester small negatively charged liposomes in the presence of divalent cations. Evidence is presented suggesting that the sequestration occurs via the formation of membrane invaginations transformed further into intraliposomal vesicles. Keywords
