Abstract
SUMMARY The production of carbonyl compounds by several species of endoconidium-forming fungi was examined. There was a marked similarity in the compounds produced by all of the organisms investigated. The 2,4-dinitrophenylhydrazones of the compounds were identified by means of thin-layer chromatography, melting point determination, infrared spectroscopy and gas chromatography. Keywords
