Abstract
Electron-microscopic examination of a case of "carcinoma in situ" of the cervix show, apart from well known structural changes of the cell-nucleus, special loss of differentiation in cytoplasm and modification of the cell surface, usually found in the invasive form of cancer of the cervix. These changes have to be considered as first manifestation, which must be verified and supported by further investigation.
