Abstract
The effect was studied of varying the proportions of dietary protein, fat and carbohydrate on the alkaline phosphatase of the small intestine of the rat. Diets containing 55 or 70% of sucrose produced a significantly lower amt. of the enzyme than diets in which sucrose was replaced by fat or protein. Keywords
