Abstract
Clinical, biochemical and X-ray features of damage to the small bowel are described in 3 patients. There was no direct correlation between severity of mucosal changes judged histologically and the severity of malabsorption. Antidiarrhetic and conservative measures of drip and suction for subacute obstruction should be used as long as possible, since surgery is often unsatisfactory due to avascularity of the bowel. Keywords
