Abstract
The twinning stress, the choice of the twinning plane, and the mode of propagation of twinning observed for silver single crystals are orientation‐dependent. The concept that cross‐slip and deformation twinning are dependent relief mechanisms and the onset of one increases the stress required for the other relief mechanism leads to a logical explanation of many observations on deformation twinning of fcc crystals. This publication has 4 references indexed in Scilit:
