Abstract
The two-point boundary problem for the full hyperbolic St Venant equation, in which both upstream and downstream boundary conditions are taken into account, is discussed. The upstream and downstream transfer functions for the linearized equation are derived analytically for a channel reach of finite length. The effect of the secondary boundary condition is to produce a series solution for each of these transfer functions. Keywords
