Prismatic adaptation under scotopic and photopic conditions.

Abstract
Performed 2 prismatic rearrangement experiments under scotopic and photopic conditions by 3 female and 12 male, and 1 female and 16 male suitably dark- or light-adapted 17-26 yr. old Ss. Adaptation to prismatic displacement was highly significant when exposure and test procedures were carried out under scotopic and photopic conditions. Transfer experiments suggest that scotopically induced adaptation can be demonstrated under both scotopic and photopic conditions of marking, whereas photopically induced adaptation is evidenced primarily under photopic test conditions and shows significantly reduced transfer to scotopic test conditions.
