Abstract
The elementary excitation spectrum of a hard-sphere Bose gas is calculated based on the self-consistent-field approximation. The hard-core diameter is left as an adjustable parameter of the theory. The results are in fairly good agreement with the experimental data for liquid helium. Keywords
