Abstract
A complex with unusual spectral properties was formed after interaction of acrylonitrile with microsomal cytochrome P-450. In the absorption spectrum of the complex, the minimum was observed at 400-410 nm but no distinct absorption maxima were found. Acrylonitrile stimulated O2 utilization during NADP oxidation and inhibited hydroxylation of p-nitroanisole and dimethylaniline N-demethylation. Acrylonitrile may interact with the microsomal system of oxidation.
