Intrathecal sodium diatrizoate

Abstract
A case has been presented in which a relatively large amount of sodium diatrizoate (Hypaque) was introduced intra-thecally into the lumbar region for myelography. The severe neurologic and systemic disturbance was complicated by renal failure of long duration with associated renal injury. The pertinent literature was reviewed in an effort to outline the serious nature and treatment of this complication.
