Production of Nitrogen Retention in Hypophysectomized Rats by Small Doses of Hypophyseal Growth Hormone.

Abstract
Ten hypophysectomized male rats were maintained in individual metabolism cages. The daily food intake was maintained approx. constant. Following a 10-day control period, hypophyseal growth hormone was administered daily at 3 dose levels: 15 [gamma]Y, 30 [gamma]Y, and 50 V. N retention was produced at both the 30 [gamma]Y and the 50 dose level.
