Abstract
This is a brief summary of research studies in employment interviewing. Several conclusions that may be drawn from this review are: (1) there is a marked trend toward the use of an interview guide, (2) there is a trend toward the use of a rating scale to record interview impressions, and (3) a job analysis facilitates interviewing.
