Abstract
Phospholipids were isolated from cow, sheep, Indian buffalo, camel, ass, pig, and human milks. The distribution of phospholipids was determined by quantitative two-dimensional thin-layer chromatography. The distribution of phospholipids was found to be remarkably constant in the milks of all the species studied, and it is concluded that the phospholipids probably fulfil similar or identical functions in these milks. Keywords
