Abstract
This paper describes the results of sparkover tests made with impulse voltages and switching surges for large gap spacings and long insulator strings under both dry and wet conditions. The tests were conducted at the Shiobara Outdoor Laboratory; a 10 000-kV 750-kJ surge generator was used. Keywords
