Abstract
The paper presents a systematic and complete analysis of a commnonly used chopper circuit and develops a set of equations that govern the design of the circuit. Based on these equations a family of normalized design curves is obtained. A simple method to determine the values of the various components used in the circuit with the help of the normalized curves is also presented. Keywords
